General Information Travel (applicable to Tier 1 – 7, not Recreational) Travel to meets/competitions and skill development camps are usually done as a club. Parents may travel with the club, space permitting. SAQ makes every effort to travel as economically as possible. Swimmers, coaches and chaperones travel together, usually by chartered bus or rented vans. All members of a team are expected to stay together as one unit while attending meets, competitions or camps. A parent chaperone is responsible for all team members for the duration of the trip except at the pool, where the team coach assumes responsibility. If an overnight stay at a hotel is necessary, the SAQ travel coordinator will arrange accommodation and assign rooms to swimmers, coaches and chaperones. Wardrobe This year the wardrobe coordinator will be meeting individually with each team in October. She will have available at that time wind suits and will be taking orders for black bathing suits, t-shirts etc. Wind suits must be purchased. Used suits may be purchased from the club for $136 (worn 3 – 5 times), new suits can be ordered (minimum order 9) for approximately $145 plus applicable taxes. Swimmer requirements for first practice: Bathing suit, goggles, *nose clips, *bathing cap (* may be purchased from club through the wardrobe coordinator) Swimmer requirements for meets/competitions Black bathing suit, white bathing cap, team bathing suit and headpiece.
